Data license
API Data Usage License
1. Scope
This license applies to SmartAPIs.net Output delivered through REST endpoints, MCP tools, denormalized payloads, summaries, agent-context blocks, and attribution metadata exposed by the service.
2. License grant
Subject to an active free-tier or paid entitlement and compliance with the Terms of Service, SmartAPIs.net grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access Output through authorized API keys and use it inside internal tools, customer-facing applications, and AI agents.
3. Permitted use
- Build applications and agents that call SmartAPIs.net directly.
- Cache Output for ordinary application operation, resilience, and debugging.
- Display Output inside a larger user workflow or product experience.
- Create value-added recommendations, summaries, and decision support layers.
4. Prohibited use
- Do not operate a competing API, data feed, or substitute dataset service.
- Do not resell raw or near-raw Output as a standalone product.
- Do not bulk export or systematically harvest Output to reconstruct coverage.
- Do not remove attribution, source, license, or provenance metadata.
5. AI and model-training restrictions
Unless SmartAPIs.net expressly grants written permission, customers may not use Output to train foundation models, refresh a general-purpose retrieval corpus, or build a reusable competing data corpus. Live inference over API responses inside an end-user application is permitted; building a reusable substitute corpus is not.
6. Attribution and source compliance
Where SmartAPIs.net provides attribution and source metadata, customers must preserve it whenever required by law, contract, or source-license posture. If a downstream use cannot preserve required attribution, that use is not permitted.
7. Enforcement
SmartAPIs.net may enforce this license through quotas, per-key scopes, entitlement checks, audit logging, rate limiting, key rotation, key revocation, and account suspension or termination.
