Terms
Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to SmartAPIs.net, including REST endpoints, MCP access, hosted guides, the dashboard, billing flows, and related platform infrastructure.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your organization if acting on its behalf. SmartAPIs.net uses an organization model with subscriptions, entitlements, API keys, scopes, quotas, and audit logging.
2. Permitted use
- Build applications, internal tools, and AI agents on top of SmartAPIs.net.
- Use the free developer tier or paid plans within documented quota limits.
- Redistribute Output only where required attribution and source-license rules are preserved.
3. Prohibited use
- Do not bypass authentication, entitlements, quotas, or rate limits.
- Do not use the service to operate a competing mirror API or substitute dataset product.
- Do not remove required attribution or misuse the service in ways that violate upstream licenses.
- Do not present SmartAPIs.net Output as official legal advice, emergency instruction, or government certification.
4. Data integrity and service limits
SmartAPIs.net aggregates and normalizes external public-source datasets. The service may lag behind source systems, filter fields for legal or privacy reasons, or expose denormalized snapshot-backed payloads rather than raw source records. Output is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.
5. Billing, suspension, and termination
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. SmartAPIs.net may suspend, throttle, revoke keys, or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, quota evasion, legal risk, source-license conflicts, or competitive misuse of the service.
Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once subscription access, API entitlements, or other paid benefits have been provisioned. SmartAPIs.net may still issue a refund in limited cases such as duplicate charges, fraud, a clear billing mistake, or a material SmartAPIs.net service failure. Unused time, unused quota, and cancellation by the customer do not automatically create a right to a prorated refund.
6. Intellectual property and governing law
The SmartAPIs.net platform, including source code, ingestion pipelines, documentation, response design, and control-plane behavior, is proprietary to Roy Nouneh except where third-party code or datasets are separately licensed. These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, subject to counsel review before general launch.
